With just a little bit of ingenuity you can come up with something at little or no cost.

RE: DNS service from either Sat company (Dish or DirectTV)

I apologize if this is hijacking the tread. But with DNS do you get both the east & west feeds and do you select one? If you select, which is the best or do they both offer the same # of channels?
Thanks and keep us updated on your success!

RE: Curing Water Pump Noise

I added an accumaltor to mine list year with braided lines. My experiance, the (soft) braided lines curied 90% of the noise. If I had to do it over again, I would skip the accumaltor.

RE: Wood frame or aluminum???

Aluminum frames won't rot if they get wet. That was one of our criteria when we looked at TT's.
Ditto.

RE: A question about 17 foot hybrid single axle

I have a 1999 Cub and I do not use any say control as I have no sway. With trailers this small, sway is not a problem. Your weight stated at under 2000 lbs seems to low for this trailer. I'm guessing its more along the lines of 2500#'s unloaded with a GVWR of ~ 3000 #'s. Be sure to check weight from name plate off camper. In any case it looks like you are a fine. Just be sure you do not overload the trailer as it's easy to do on these small units. Check weight rating of tires and you'll find it's at or near the GVWR.
Good luck with new HTT. You'll have a blast.

RE: Parking trailer on a garden for the winter

Per Goodyear's web site, it does not matter what surface you park it on. If it is going to sit for over 30 days, they recommend increasing tire pressure by 10% and lift weight off tires.
To keep tires from sinking into ground, it may be a good idea to keep them on something. I use 12 x 24 paver blocks.

RE: when to sanitize tanks

I sanitize all three tanks - fresh, gray, black - before a big trip which usually turns out to be 2 or 3 times a year.

RE: Bunk Ends closed in Bear areas

I have a U-Shaped dinnet that makes into a bed that is more comfortable than the bunk ends. We often use this bed for the 'nite on the road' stop or when its very cold out.
So yes it is doable depending on your HTT.

RE: Do you disconnect battery during storage??

I have a disconect switch and keep it disconnected when I'm not camping. However I store mine at home and it's always connected to electricty. I do the disconect because my converter is a boiler. I use a stand alone smart charger for battern conditioning / maintenance.

RE: Tekonsha P3 Question

Here is the response I received from Tekonsha when I asked this question last year.
Good Afternoon;
Thank you for choosing Tekonsha for your towing needs.
The Prodigy is the best control on the market for electric brakes. The P-3 has pretty much the same technology as the Prodigy with the exceptiong that the P-3 will work with the new electric over hydraulic braking systems.
So, either controller would work great with your application.
If there is anything more that I can do to assist, please let me know.
Have a great day !!

RE: Ceramic heater

When I had my electric fireplace running and a small ceramic heater in the bunkroom running, the breaker would trip. I went out and bought an upgraded breaker and replaced it....never tripped again.
The breaker was originally sized to protect the wiring. Putting an "upgraded" breaker, you have compromised your safety. Specifically the wiring can / will over heat from carrying the extra amperage.

RE: Opinions On Our Jayco Situation, Please.

I sense your frustrations and would probably feel the same way. You have no choice but to allow Jayco do the repairs and I’m sure they will do a fine job. After you receiver your repaired trailer and satisfied with repair, ask them to extend the warranty by 1 year to cover hidden problems that may surface later. I’m sure everything will turn out fine. Keep the trailer and enjoy.

RE: 2000 Aerolite Cub 16ft...

I have the same trailer, but 1999 Model. There is no wiring diagram for entire trailer, just individual appliances. Which wheel well do you need? You may have to go direct to factory.
